Community Guidelines
Community Guidelines
Barnabas exists to help Christians grow in faith, encourage one another, build meaningful relationships, pray together, study Scripture, and participate in healthy community. These guidelines apply to the wider Barnabas Community and to social interaction inside church and group spaces.
1. Treat people with dignity
Communicate with kindness, patience, honesty, and respect. Disagreement is allowed. Harassment, bullying, humiliation, targeted abuse, threats, stalking, or coordinated attacks are not.
2. Protect privacy
Do not publish another person's private messages, prayer requests, accountability information, personal information, photographs, or other private content without permission. Information entrusted to you through prayer, accountability, Bible study, or private messages deserves particular care.
3. Keep Barnabas safe
Do not use Barnabas to exploit, groom, defraud, impersonate, blackmail, threaten, or intentionally harm another person. Do not post content that facilitates credible violence, sexual exploitation, malware, fraud, or illegal conduct.
4. No spam or deceptive promotion
Do not send repetitive unsolicited promotions, scams, misleading fundraising requests, artificial engagement, or mass commercial solicitation. Legitimate promoted events and sponsorships should use Barnabas promotion tools and be clearly identified.
5. Events
Event organizers must describe events truthfully, honor ticket and registration commitments, maintain appropriate permissions and safety practices, and comply with venue requirements and applicable law.
6. Churches and groups
Church and group leaders may establish additional expectations in spaces they administer. Leaders should use moderation privileges responsibly and may not use Barnabas permissions to access information outside the scope granted to them.
7. Reporting
Members can report content, accounts, or technical issues. Barnabas may remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, or take other appropriate action after reviewing relevant information.
8. Emergencies
Barnabas is not an emergency service. If someone may be in immediate danger, contact appropriate local emergency services or another qualified emergency resource.
9. Spiritual discussion
Barnabas should remain a place where people can ask sincere questions, discuss Scripture, talk honestly about growth and struggles, and encourage one another. These guidelines are intended to protect people and healthy conversation, not eliminate respectful disagreement.
